Caring for your Latex

Simple steps to preserve quality, shine, and longevity.

General Care:

  • Keep away from heat and sunlight

Avoid excessive heat and direct sunlight. Even indoors, store your latex in a dark place or protective covering to prevent damage.

  • Store colors separately

Avoid storing light-colored latex with darker pieces, as colors may transfer and cause staining.

  • Avoid contact with metals

Latex can stain or become damaged when in contact with metals such as hangers, zippers, piercings, or belts — especially copper and brass.

  • Keep away from oils

Oils can permanently damage latex. Avoid contact with body oils, animal fats, lotions, oil-based products, and self-tanning products.

  • Use latex polish or water-based lubricant

Use a water-based or silicone-based latex polish, or a water-based lubricant to maintain shine, flexibility, and overall quality. These can also be used to assist with dressing and provide extra protection.

Cleaning Instructions:

  • Hand wash only

Use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild detergent.

  • Rinse and dry naturally

After washing, rinse thoroughly and hang to drip dry on a plastic or wooden hanger. Avoid
contact with metal while wet and keep away from direct sunlight.

  • Prevent sticking

Once dry, gently separate any stuck surfaces and apply talcum powder to prevent sticking.

  • Store properly

Store on a soft hanger inside a garment bag, ideally in a dark environment.
